Premier Traffic Management has invested in a new range of impact protection vehicles, specialist 3.5 tonne traffic management pickups, and fully electric vehicles to deliver against its business improvement objectives and sustainability ambitions.
The new range of EUROVI impact protection vehicles are equipped with a range of safety features including improved 3 points of contact access and egress and 360-degree cameras to deliver enhanced safety for the traffic management teams working within the vehicle, the construction teams working with closures, and the road users who interface with the roadworks.
Further, in line with Premier Traffic Management’s Sustainability Strategy, the electrification of their vehicle fleet has commenced, starting with the replacement of TSCO and Supervisor vehicles with fully electric alternatives to deliver a 100% carbon reduction.
Speaking on the investment, Premier Traffic Management Operations Director, Matthew Turner, said:
“Due to the nature of temporary traffic management, our vehicles are key to the way we operate as a business. They need to reflect our core values and support us to deliver a safe and sustainable service which meets the needs of both today and tomorrow.
We are proud to be introducing electric vehicle technology into Premier Traffic Management and I am excited to see how this progresses in terms of future roll-out.”
